Privacy Policy

1. Overview

SpendTracker is a client-side web application that stores all data locally in your browser using localStorage. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.

2. Data Collection

We collect zero personal information. Specifically:

  • ✓ No account or registration required
  • ✓ No cookies are set by our application
  • ✓ No analytics data is transmitted off-device
  • ✓ No email or personal identifiers collected

3. Local Storage

All expense data, settings, and preferences are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data will permanently delete all SpendTracker data.

4. Analytics

This version of SpendTracker does not include third-party analytics. Future versions may include optional, opt-in analytics to improve the product. Users will always be notified before any analytics are enabled.

5. Third-Party Services

SpendTracker loads the following resources from CDNs:

  • â€ĸ Tailwind CSS (via cdn.tailwindcss.com)
  • â€ĸ Alpine.js (via cdn.jsdelivr.net)
  • â€ĸ Chart.js (via cdn.jsdelivr.net)

These CDN providers may log standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, user agent) per their own privacy policies.

6. Data Portability

You can export all your data at any time using the CSV Export feature in Settings. You can delete all data using the "Clear All Data" option in Settings.

7. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy. Significant changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
